The last day of summer always reminds of the song "My Sweet Summer" by the Dirty Heads so this was my tribute to and awesome summer and a great band! My sweet summer is gone...

Its an awesome feeling seeing the art I made in its new home! The frames definitely add a good touch to the 16x22 canvas boards.

Sea bags are made out of recycled sails from ships and hand crafted in the heart of Portland, Maine. I was asked by an old friend who made the move from Maine back to Florida to create an image of her best friend that was making the trip by her side in the new jeep, his name is Max. Man's best friend is always so full of life and character so using the refrences I kept the design simple for threading purposes and created an illustration to match the trip they were about to embark on.
